Bonds Cay Island

Berry Islands, The Bahamas

Located in the Berry Islands section of the Bahamas, 30 miles Northwest of Nassau, and 155 miles East of Miami, Bond’s Cay is an Island of over 675 acres and 4.25 miles in length. The natural conditions of the island offer an incredibly diverse set of experiences ranging from the calm of the western coast to the active ocean side beach experience, the tranquil lagoons in the center of the island, and the elevation of the parks at the northern tip of the island.

The plan for the development of Bond’s Cay seeks to take advantage of and enhance this variety of natural experience in the most appropriate manner by using the existing natural conditions to inform the development strategy. The beaches of the island are perfectly placed and provided the baseline for our organization of the lots to create a variety of residential opportunities which reflect the variety of the island condition. Additionally, by opening and developing the central lagoons, an opportunity for greater water access and a different type of residential community emerges.

The southern end of the island was evident from the beginning as the perfect place for the island village, which will house the majority of the local island residents, and create a community centered around local culture and establishments. This community will also be the primary link to Nassau, and the key point of shipping and receiving of goods for the island.
